Can I Visit Other Countries from Jordan? Regional Travel Tips

Can I Visit Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jerusalem or Lebanon from Jordan?

Yes, and we highly recommend it! Jordan is a hub for Middle East travel, and it’s easy to add Jerusalem, Cairo, or Beirut to your trip. Here’s how to plan your multi-country adventure.

Jordan to Jerusalem

You can cross into Jerusalem at:

  • King Hussein Bridge (near Amman) – most common
  • Sheikh Hussein Bridge (North) – ideal for travelers heading to the Galilee
  • Wadi Araba Crossing (near Aqaba) – best for Eilat and southern Holy Land

💡 Visa rules vary – we’ll help you with the latest info.

Jordan to Saudi Arabia

Traveling from Jordan to Saudi Arabia is increasingly popular, especially with the opening of tourism and religious sites. There are three main border crossings:

  • Al-Omari Crossing (south of Amman) – the primary route for most travelers
  • Al-Mudawara Crossing (near Aqaba) – perfect for combining Wadi Rum and Saudi Arabia’s northwest, including AlUla
  • Durra Border Crossing – a smaller southern border point near the Red Sea

💡 Make sure to check Saudi e-visa or transit visa requirements based on your nationality. We’ll guide you through it!

Jordan to Egypt

  • By air: Amman to Cairo flights daily
  • By sea: Ferry from Aqaba to Nuweiba/Taba in Sinai
  • Combine Petra with the Pyramids or Nile cruise

Jordan to Lebanon
